Flourish seeded papers are handmade from recycled stock with live seeds suspended through the fibre. Full-colour printing on a naturally matt, lightly textured surface — the seeds give the sheet its tooth. Once the message has done its work, the card is buried under a thin layer of soil, kept moist, and within days it begins to germinate. The paper composts into the bed as the seedlings rise. Zero waste, by design.

Seed varieties span the kitchen garden: basil, chamomile, chives, lemon balm, marjoram, oregano, flat-leaf and curled parsley, savory, tarragon, thyme, and a vegetable selection. A note on success: the seeds sit within the thickness of the paper, so the soil needs to stay damp until germination. Tell your recipients. The ones who follow through tend to send you photographs months later, which is the entire point.
